Oscar Castillo is the owner and operator of boppola USA, LLC who works alongside boppola accordions SA de CV in Mexico and Latin America and the Umbrella company Folk Music SL in Spain and Europe. boppola USA, LLC was founded in 2015 in Texas, and has been working with boppola accordions since its inception in 2008. Mr. Castillo was born and raised in Brownsville, TX and is a 2007 graduate from The University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelors in Science in Mechanical Engineering and has worked in companies such as General Electric, Keppel Amfels, and Xtreme Power. Oscar Castillo is the lead designer, conceptual artist, and photographer for boppola accordions and works closely with the artisans that add the aesthetic touches on the accordions.
